Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #170

Here's a scene that's all too familiar to most Capers. Our water suddenly quit flowing last night, and the cavalry arrived this AM to get us back up and running. It appears to be a worn out well pump, which as wells go is not such a bad scenario. Hopefully by noon, I can get a shower, and we will be good to go (if a grand poorer).

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #169

Some beautiful eggplant hanging around at the Goshen Farm Sharing Garden. On our recent trip to London, the kids were amused to learn that the British call them aubergine. I call them both lovely and tasty!

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #168

I'm not always a fan of trees being chopped down, but in this case, I could not be more delighted. The cleared roadside along College Parkway will make way for our new bike trail from Green Holly to Cape St. Claire Rd. Between the new trail and the widening of CSC Rd., it may actually be possible to walk or ride the perimeter of the Cape with out taking our lives in our hands. Can't wait for it to be done!

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #167

We returned from a couple of weeks of summer vacation to find our crape myrtle in full bloom. It did not bloom so well last summer, so I wasn't sure what to expect this year, but it seems to have perked up. You will see them bursting with color throughout the Cape. I love these late summer exhibitionists.
