Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #38

Caper Vicky Jenkins snapped this lovely photo of Lake Claire this morning biding her time as her son did some fishing. How lucky are we to be able to walk down to the end of the street, drop a hook, and enjoy a morning like this in April? Thanks for letting me share your awesome Cape moment as the Cape Photo of the Day, Vicky!

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #37

These will be in big demand this week. Have you Capers dyed your eggs yet? It's all really just an excuse to make platters full of deviled eggs - everyone's favorite Easter dish. As we head into the weekend, our attention will turn to preparing for Easter and getting those Easter baskets and bonnets ready. Our Jewish neighbors are busy with their own preparations for the start of Passover at sunset this evening - setting their lovely seder tables. As for me, as long as Peeps are flowing freely, I'm ready for the holiday weekend.

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #36

Cue the dogwoods. The one in my yard is a beautiful coral pink color. It hasn't reached its full glory yet but very soon. I love dogwoods of all colors for their upturned flowers and lacy branches. They seem as eager to soak up the spring sunshine as we are.

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #34

My bleeding hearts are making an appearance. They are short-lived, but so sweet. The pink ones fit their name a little better, but I love the pure white ones best.

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #32

On this Palm Sunday, a Cape photo from the other Cape in my life, Cape Canaveral, FL. I caught the sun coming up on this first day of April, 2012. Despite being two days into spring break, I'm still on a school week schedule. Back to Cape St. Claire tomorrow but had to share palms today.
