Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #57

Maggie, our Great Dane, is not much of a water dog. She fell off the dock once as a puppy and has never gone in since. She also is not much of a boat dog. Her center of gravity is just too high and footprint too large to manage boating. She watches yearningly as the boat pulls away from the dock - not because she wants to be afloat but because her master is going someplace she cannot follow. If she is outside, this is where we find her when we return. She may not negotiate a boat very well, but she knows how to hold down a king size bed like no other...

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #56

My husband's coworker, Christy, saw pictures of a company rockfishing trip last year and said she would like to catch one of those. Today, she and a couple of pals from the office headed out on the Bay with my husband on another coworker's fishing boat to have a go. They hooked this beauty in the afternoon, and Christy reeled in her first ever Chesapeake Bay Striper. She wasn't keen on touching it, but the smile says it all. Nice work!

Cape Photo of the Day - Photo #55

Still milking my Dad's stash of photos. He caught this osprey perched atop one of the green channel markers in Deep Creek. Good looking bird.
