As I was dropping off my daughter at the high school for her last day of exams, I was amazed yet again by the spectacular sunrise. The sky was a brilliant pink and purple, and once again, I was caught without my camera. By the time I got home, the best was over. Lucky for all of us, my friend Vicky was Johnny-on-the-spot near the Main Beach and captured the amazing view with her smartphone. Thanks for letting me share, Vicky!

Best of luck to all the Bruins on their last day of exams, and enjoy the four day break!

A beautiful Christmas Eve sunrise over the Little Magothy. What a spectacular morning. I think we are in for some nasty rain later today, so finish all your running around early and settle in for the duration. Santa can take it from there.

When I dropped my daughter by the high school this AM, I saw that the sky was on fire with the sunrise. I ran home to get my camera and then headed over to the Little Magothy. It was 7:15 AM before I got the picture, and I had missed the peak, but it was still pretty amazing. Almost more like a sunset than sunrise.

I had to get a midshipman to the airport this Saturday morning for an early flight. I was happy to do it, and even happier to be treated to this view of the sunrise as I drove onto the Academy. Simply glorious.

Sunrise at Goshen Farm. Laika and I took a little drive around the Cape this AM looking for some nice views of the pretty sunrise. It was certainly beautiful up at Goshen Farm just as the sun was clearing the tree line.
